What do teens need to know about sex and relationships? What do they need to know about their bodies, their emotions, their sexual feelings?
With so much information readily available about sex – from their school’s sex ed classes, movies, television, and YouTube, Instagram and every other form of social media — is it really necessary for parents to talk with their pre-teens and teens about sex?
Is there anything the church needs to do?
In considering these questions, you need to ask if, from these sources, your teens are learning the meaning and purpose of sex, its context, and what happens if exercised outside that context. Today’s fractured families, emotional and mental and spiritual fallout and, yes, disease, should make us wonder if something is missing.
