Dr. Miriam Grossman is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in the United States. She has been speaking out internationally on sex education and gender ideology since 2006. Her writings have been published in eleven languages.
In a recent email to everyone who at some time in the recent or distant past has expressed interest in her work. I am on her list.
In her email Dr. Grossman pleaded with her readers to become educated about Transgenderism, the “dangerous social movement which indoctrinates children with outrageous falsehoods so your family is not ambushed by gender ideology like so many distressed parents who turn to me. No family is immune. . . I am here to teach hard science and biological truths . . .” (Email dated August 9, 2022) She then went on to give links to her website, to videos of some of her public appearances, and to articles she has written on related topics.
In big, bold letters at the top of the first page of her website stand these two phrases:
My profession captured
My colleagues spineless
One of the articles mentioned in the email is entitled Therapists Have Betrayed “The Parents of Gender-Confused Kids And There’ll Be Hell To Pay.” Dr. Grossman also mentioned her new book, Lost in TransNation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness, to be published in June 2023. The preview on her web site begins:
“Throughout our country, atrocities are taking place in doctor’s offices and hospital operating rooms. Physically healthy children and adolescents are being permanently disfigured and sometimes sterilized. Those youth have announced they’re transgender, and we—their parents, teachers, therapists, and doctors—are supposed to at once agree with their self-diagnosis and take a back seat as they make the most consequential decision of their lives: to alter their bodies in order to, we are told, “align” them with their minds.”
This is the “madness” that so disturbs Dr. Grossman and elicits these strong statements about therapists and medical professionals in general.
