If you are in touch with your teens, you know the pressures on them to be sexually active. You may also be aware of some of the very negative consequences of premature, unmarried sex, not only for the teen but for his or her loved ones and on society as a whole. You may feel inadequate to talk with them about sex, but you need to. Why?

  • Because God says you are to teach your children to “obey carefully” all his commands, because they “are not just idle words – they are your life” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7; 32:45-47)
  • Because social science research shows that parental involvement is the greatest single deterrent to teenage sexual activity.

If you are home schooling your children, do you include education in sexuality in your teaching?

Here you can find resources for yourselves as parents and for use with your preteens and teens, as well as information you can trust.
