In their own words — What professionals are saying Part II

Before you take your gender-confused child or teen to a therapist, or before you recommend this to a parent, be sure to research the therapist or clinic very carefully. Medical and mental health professionals, too, have been captured by  Transgender ideology.

In Matt Walsh’s documentary “What is a woman?” the commitment to Transgender ideology of the therapists  interviewed is clear in their responses to Walsh’s question:

A pediatrician

  • “To assume, based on a penis, that a baby is 100% male identified — That’s not correct.”
  • “Some children figure out their gender really early. I would ask a four-year-old ‘Where have you been in your gender identity journey? Where are you now? And,  most interestingly, where would you  like to be?'”
  • Puberty blockers are completely reversible.”

A marriage and family therapist

  • “To assign a gender based on genitalia . . . We know that gender is much more than that/”
  • “Genitalia don’t equal gender.”
  • “What is a woman? Great question . . . I can’t really answer that!”

A  leading sex change surgeon:

  • “Sex reconstruction surgery is “really quite refined. Reconstructed genitals not only look like the real thing but they function that way– for the  most part. “
  • Desisting is really, really uncommon.”
  • “There are not many critics of gender identity.”A university professor of women’s gender and sexuality studies
  • “Gender is a social construct.”
  • “Gender and sex both are and are not the same.”
  • If a person tells you who they are [a man or a woman] you should believe them.”
  • “You keep referring to truth and I find that very condescending.”
  • “A woman is a person who identifies as a woman!”

In reporting on a recent study of United States :military-affiliated youth between the ages of 13 and 17:

A doctor with the Department of Defense

  • “Once gender-distressed adolescents with severe mental illnesses undergo sex change intervention these pre-existing serious mental issues could just melt away  ‘ after time .” [These youth were still going through puberty.]
  • “Children as young as 7 are “capable of consenting to medical sex changes.”

Really?

Maybe you are thinking “Not in my child’s school” or “Not my child’s doctors.” Make no assumptions. Find out.

BARBARA’S MISSION

Young people everywhere are being bombarded day in and day out in our super-sexualized society by messages that both trivialize sex and encourage sexual activity. These messages are hurting our young people. Yet as Christians we are failing to give our teens a picture of healthy sexuality; we leave them on their own to figure things out, often with disastrous results – physical, emotional, and social. It doesn’t need to be this way, and it breaks my heart to see the pain resulting from our lack of action.
