Gender ideology — Links to Barbara’s posts

Suddenly, in a very short period of time, there has been a worldwide explosion of young people claiming they are “Transgender” and wanting to “transition” to the opposite sex. In the last decade the numbers have increased exponentially, especially among young girls.  How can this be explained?

At the same time, the media is generally sympathetic to Trans claims of marginalization, schools build whole programs to prevent the bullying of LGBT youth, and medical professionals and mental health clinics generally accept without question the self-diagnosis of young people and begin transition therapy on request. Other perspectives are excluded. Why?

What is the role of gender ideology in this phenomenoh, and where can concerned parents and others working with teens find out the truth about gender and how best to treat gender questioning youth?

BARBARA’S MISSION

Young people everywhere are being bombarded day in and day out in our super-sexualized society by messages that both trivialize sex and encourage sexual activity. These messages are hurting our young people. Yet as Christians we are failing to give our teens a picture of healthy sexuality; we leave them on their own to figure things out, often with disastrous results – physical, emotional, and social. It doesn’t need to be this way, and it breaks my heart to see the pain resulting from our lack of action.
